Colorado River historian and author, Tom Martin's, unique multi-media presentation takes audience members on a 50-minute behind-the-scenes tour of Otis “Dock” Marston’s long-awaited and recently released book, From Powell to Power: A Recounting of the First 100 River Runners through the Grand Canyon.

- Doors open at 5:30 for beer, food, book sales & conversation.
- The program will run from 6:00-7:30 and will include the release of the 5th and final of CCA's river video shorts highlighting our restoration efforts along Ruby-Horsethief.
- Copies of Marston’s book, as well as Tom Martin’s Grand Canyon hiking and river running guides, along with his Canyonlands guide, will be available for purchase in support of CCA.

About the Speaker
Tom Martin's been getting blisters on his feet and hopelessly lost while hiking in the Grand Canyon during river rafting trips since 1969. Martin serves as a volunteer Council Member of River Runners for Wilderness and the Oral History Chair of the Grand Canyon Historical Society. He is the author of Day Hikes from the River and has co-written with Duwain Whitis the Guide to the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon and Guide to the Colorado and Green Rivers in the Canyonlands of Utah and Colorado. Tom wrote Big Water, Little Boats: Moulty Fulmer and the First Grand Canyon Dory on the Last of the Wild Colorado River and edited Otis Marston’s From Powell To Power.
