Ripple Effect: A River Stewardship Adventure
CCA is excited to launch the Ripple Effect: A River Stewardship Adventure, our first multi-day trip of it’s kind! Over the course of 3 days and 2 nights, you will float along the 25+ scenic miles of Ruby Horsethief Canyon, part of McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, while participating in Bullfrog Catching surveys at Mee Canyon, and assist our education team in the installation of native plant restoration projects and signage at Catalpa Camp.
Education Volunteers
We are looking for folks to volunteer and assist with various topics for field trips this fall in both McInnis Canyons and Gunnison Gorge NCA. For more information, please see our form to sign-up below.
Adopt-a-trail
Looking for a way to give back to your favorite trails? Volunteer to Adopt-a-Trail with CCA in our National Conservation Areas to help keep your favorite hikes pristine! We particularly need volunteers to adopt areas in Dominguez-Escalante and Gunnison Gorge NCA.
Tabling Outreach Volunteers
Every year we have hundreds of visitors in Dominguez-Escalante NCA, specifically at the Bridgeport trailhead heading into the wilderness who often need more "know before you go" information for this area. If you are able to lend a Saturday afternoon in May to help us get this information to the public through tabling at the trailhead, please contact morgan@canyonsassociation.org and let us know if you may be able to help with one of these weekends or outreach events in the future.
Additional tabling & outreach events happen throughout the season where it is great to have a CCA volunteer represent us if you are familiar with our organization or open to a 1-hour training session.
Education
Nature Knowledge Days
We are always in need of more education volunteers for our annual field trips in Spring and Fall. Dates and time slots vary.
For more information and to sign-up, email annie@canyonsassociation.org.
