Join CCA and our partners at the Bureau of Land Management on May 8th for a volunteer day of trail work on the Scenic Ute Trail in Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area.
The Details
What: A day of trail work in Gunnison Gorge’s Scenic Ute trail. This trail is due for some much needed care and maintenance. We could use as many hands as possible to keep it beautiful for the next few seasons to come. This project will be led by our partners at the Bureau of Land Management and Volunteers Outdoor Colorado Trail experts!
When: Thursday, May 8th from 9 AM - 4 PM
Where: Gunnison Gorge NCA; Ute Trail
What to bring: Work gloves (if you have them), layers for different weather conditions, a lunch, and water (we will have a cooler to refill your bottles). Tools and eye protection will be provided. Be prepared to hike Approx. ~6 to 8 miles.
This will take place in a Wilderness Area and is therefore limited to a small group size of 12 people you MUST RSVP!
Additionally, due to the rough nature of the access to this trailhead, high clearance trucks and vehicles will be required to reach the trailhead. Volunteers may be asked to carpool up together.
