Gunnison Gorge Birding Hike with Bill Harris
THIS HIKE IS FULL AS OF 5/5/18. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THE WAITING LIST, PLEASE CLICK THE BUTTON BELOW.
Join Audubon member Bill Harris birding the banks of the Gunnison River in the Gunnison Gorge NCA. May is an excellent time to view a host of migrating birds and year-round residents, as well. Expect to see black phoebes, yellow-breasted chats, water fowl, spotted towhees, yellow warblers, bullocks orioles and several raptors. There’s always a few surprises. Expect shorts walks on flat terrain. Bring binoculars, appropriate clothing, sunscreen, snacks and water. We’ll wrap things up about 11:30 AM. Trip limited to 12 people.
Come Prepared:
- Bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, a sun hat, and sunglasses.
- Bring a camera, binoculars and field guides if desired.
