To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the congressional designation of the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area, the BLM and its partners invite you to join on a variety of outings to celebrate and learn about the incredible resources in your NCA!
Join BLM, Colorado Canyons Association and Western Slope Conservation Center to hike the Blackridge trail. This is a 4-mile roundtrip moderately-difficult trail with some significant elevation change. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Where: Blackridge Trail
How to get there: Meet at the Hotchkiss City Market parking lot to caravan and carpool out to the trail. If you plan to drive your own vehicle, it’s best if it’s a high-clearance, 4-wheel drive vehicle. If it rains and the roads are impassable, the event will be cancelled.
What to bring: Food, water, sturdy footwear, and appropriate clothing to be out most of the day in a variety of weather conditions.
