Sick of being stuck inside on Black Friday? Come hike with us! Join us for our annual REI #OptOutside hike on Friday, November 29.
When: Friday, November 29th; meet at the trailhead at 10 AM
Where: The Cool Rock Trail in Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area (38.767114, -107.874737)
About the trail: The Cool Rock Trail is a moderate 4-mile round trip hike. The trail follows the bottom of a wash and showcases the amazing geology of the area. Since the hike is in a wash, there are a few small rock scrambles that require larger steps up/down and three points of contact in some cases. The trail skirts around any of the larger scrambles. There is very little elevation gain and most of the hike should be in the sun.

What to bring: Sturdy hiking boots, layers for winter hiking, water, leftover turkey and snacks!
Please note: This hike will be cancelled if there is heavy rain or snow. You will be notified.
This hike is free and open to the public. Please RSVP. Dogs are welcome.
