Join Colorado Canyons Association & Chow Down Pet Supplies for a fun, outdoor event in celebration of Earth Day!
If you've ever been out to Devils Canyon in the McInnis Canyons NCA, you've probably seen a lot of happy pups - and their waste - out on the trails!
When it comes to "leaving no trace" our pups need some help, so to celebrate Earth Day, that’s what we’re give ‘em!
For the third year in a row, we'll have a table at the trailhead with info about the NCA, tear-off maps of the trail system, and most importantly ... a whole lotta poop bags! Plus, we'll have doggie giveaways for folks who help clean-up!
Why are we picking up dog poop? Isn't it natural fertilizer for plants and grass?
Actually, according to the EPA, dog poo can be as toxic as chemical and oil spills. It's the #3 cause of water pollution in the U.S. and 1 gram of dog feces contains 23 million fecal bacteria.
