Interested in volunteering at our youth education event, Nature Knowledge Days, but don’t necessarily feel like you have the skills? Don’t worry! We’ll train you on everything you need to know! Join Land Programs Director, Rob Gay, to learn the best practices on how to engage with students and lead fun, hands-on environmental education lessons.
When: Tuesday, March 24th from 6-7:30 PM
Where: TBD
This training will cover the basics of pedagogy (the science of teaching!) as well as in-depth coverage of the specific Nature Knowledge Days curriculum. We’ll make sure you leave feeling confident that you can teach 3rd graders the specific station you’ve signed up for! Although you don’t have to attend the training to volunteer at NKD, we strongly encourage it!
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this training has been postponed. If you have questions, contact Sara using the info below.
