Wild West History on the Gunnison River

Join renowned historian and storyteller, Zebulon Miracle, to explore the rich and complex social history of western Colorado. As you raft along the beautiful Gunnison River through the Dominguez Escalante National Conservation Area you’ll see cottonwood trees, orchards, and records from where people once lived. Let Zebulon expound upon these traces of humanity in the desert as your interpretive guide to this landscape.

Where: The Gunnison River in Dominguez-Escalante NCA

Cost: $200 for CCA members; $225 for non-members - Cost includes:

  • Expert guides, including Historian, Zebulon Miracle 

  • Delicious and tasty food and beverages for lunch and snacks. Vegetarian options are available.  

  • Group river equipment 

  • Shuttle transportation  

    Some hiking and light paddling involved. Great for ages 15 and up!
