Catalpa Camp: Earth Day Clean-Up

We need your help to do some pre-season maintenance at Catalpa, our river education camp. Volunteers are needed to help with weed removal, some basic landscaping, and maintenance.

What you need to know:

When: Thursday, April 17th; 8am-6pm (approximately) expect a full day on the water.

Where: We will meet at the Ruby Horsetheif boat launch in Loma, take-out at Westwater, and shuttle back to Loma together.

What: Community volunteers and staff will travel approximately 25 miles on the Colorado River in CCA rafts, stopping at Catalpa for a day of much needed basic landscaping.

CCA will provide lunch, snacks, tools, and transportation back to put-in.

Please note: Participants should bring their own PFD (if you own one) and work gloves, but these can be provided if necessary. There is limited space at Catalpa, therefore all participants will ride in CCA boats together; personal boats will not be allowed on this trip.

This event is currently full—please email morgan@canyonsassociation.org to be added to the waitlist.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers! We couldn’t do this without you.
