What: Join Dr. Stephen Stern on a hike through wildflowers! Learn about our local (and invasive) plant populations, identify vegetation, and enjoy the beauty of spring in Western Colorado.

More about Stephen Stern
Stephen Stern is a Professor at Colorado Mesa University where he teaches numerous classes including introductory botany, plant systematics, plant identification, and grass taxonomy. He received his B.S from UNC-Asheville and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the University of Utah. He has been been working on a BLM-funded project to complete a floristic inventory of the McInnis Canyon National Conservation Area since 2013.
