Ute Indian Night Sky Storytelling

Join Regina Lopez-Whiteskunk, member of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, as she tells ancestral stories about the night sky. This event is in partnership with the Ute Indian Museum and Montrose Regional Library District.

When: Friday, March 11th from 6-8 PM

Where: The Ute Indian Museum in Montrose

What: Join CCA and the Montrose Public Library at the Ute Indian Museum for an evening of storytelling on the patio, complete with s’mores. The nearby Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area is in the process of becoming an official Dark Sky place, perfect for stargazing. Learn about the significance of dark skies and hear ancestral stories from the area at this free, family-friendly event!

Please note: This is an outdoor event- dress warmly and bring layers and/or a blanket! Registration not required, but RSVPs will help us know how many people to expect.

This event is free and open to the public.
