What: Hydrogeologist Mitch Dorsk will present a general overview of the water and the rocks we see on the Western Slope with an added focus on western water rights. He'll share how these factors, amongst others, affect seasonal flows and how that impacts the rivers that run through our three NCAs. No prior knowledge is needed and those that want to learn are encouraged to attend!

About the Speaker
Mitchell Dorsk is a Hydrogeologist with HRS Water Consultants in Grand Junction, CO and has a passion for where the mountains meet the desert. He will be discussing the geologic history, setting and hydrology that creates the beautiful landscape he calls home – the Colorado Plateau. His knack for explaining technical topics with the public make this a great event for anyone interested in learning more about the cliffs, rivers, and valleys of the Western Slope.
