General Event Overview:
Join the fun in the Fruita Paleo Area while helping to teach 4th & 5th grade students from the Dual Immersion Academy about cultural resources! This trip has six activity stations through which students rotate in small groups depending on class sizes. During the day students will listen, learn, and participate in all six activities that are related to cultural resources of the area.
We're looking for volunteers to help staff six activity stations covering topics centered around the cultural resources of the Fruita Paleo Area. Rest assured you don't need to be an expert to help out, we have everything you'll need to be successful no matter your own level of knowledge!
Time Commitment for Volunteers:
- 9:00 AM - 2:15 PM (bring a lunch or snack)
Volunteer Duties & Provided Support:
- Station Managers (all activities and materials will be provided, including sample scripts for volunteer educators)
- Trail Directors to keep participants on course between stations
- Photographers
- General Support w/ breakdown at the end of each day
