Sick of being stuck inside on Black Friday? Get outside with Colorado Canyons Association and the Bureau of Land Management on a self-guided hike! Join us for our annual #OptOutside event on Friday, November 27.
When: Friday, November 27th; 10 AM - 2 PM

What: Get outside this Black Friday and hike the Cool Rock Trail in Gunnison Gorge NCA! Come by the Cool Rock trailhead between 10 AM - 2 PM to start your self-guided hike. CCA and BLM will offer interpretive materials via email before you set out on your hike. The trail follows the bottom of a wash and showcases the amazing geology of the area, which you’ll learn more about in the pamphlet provided at the trailhead. Expect about 2-3 hours of moderate hiking.

What to bring: Sturdy hiking boots, layers for winter hiking, water, leftover turkey and whatever else you need to hike! CCA will provide interpretive materials and maps prior to the event.
