Every year, volunteers come together around National Public Lands Day to help restore and improve public lands in their backyard. Join CCA and the Bureau of Land Management September 21-22 to help clean-up Big Dominguez Trail and break down fire rings in Dominguez-Escalante NCA and give back to your public land!
When: September 21st-22nd (Thursday-Friday)
Where: Bridgeport Trailhead; Dominguez-Escalante NCA
What you’ll be doing: Volunteers will be backpacking approximately 13 miles roundtrip (~7 miles/day) in wilderness to clean-up trash, break down illegal fire rings and re-naturalize the human impacts in this high-use area.
You will need: Backpacking experience (this is not a trip for beginners!), backpacking pack that can hold—2 lunches, snacks, 5L water, water filter, sleeping bag, clothes, tent (or willingness to sleep outdoors), any other personal items.
We’ll provide: Tools, gloves, first aid kit, emergency response system, dinner, breakfast, Federal Fee-Free Day passes, and National Public Lands Day t-shirts
