Musician Shaun Ray's Passion for the River Makes Cents for CCA!
When he's not writing songs and making music, local artist Shaun Ray spends a whole lot of time on the Colorado River, taking in the scenery of a breathtaking section known as Ruby-Horsethief which runs right through the heart of the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area (NCA).
His passion for this stretch of river is ever-present in his music; he's even part of a local banded that's aptly named, "Ruby-Horsethief". So, when he sat down this past winter to write and record his first solo album, Fool To Your Crown, it came as no surprise that his many experiences in the red-rock lined walls of Ruby and Horsethief Canyons continued to inspire. Just take a listen to the tune "Highwater" and you'll immediately get our drift (pun intended)!

Ray's love for the river, and for the Ruby-Horsethief stretch, in particular, have now led to a few exciting collaborations with Colorado Canyons Association (CCA)!
