Thanks to two generous gifts of over $30,000 from Chevron and the Western Colorado Community Foundation/Dave & Mary Wood Fund, CCA is launching our Central High School 9th Grade Environmental Science River program this fall.  The goal of this program is to take every 9th grade environmental science student from Central High school down the river each year, totaling nearly 500 students.  This initial funding will allow CCA to launch the program this fall taking over 150 students on the Gunnison & Colorado Rivers.

Additionally, Chevron also fully funded a weather station to be placed at Catalpa for STEM-based education with modules on weather and climate. In partnership with the National Weather Service, this weather station with real time remote data transfer will allow boaters, land managers and others access weather information in real time on the CCA website.

Please join us in sending a big thanks to both Chevron and the Western Colorado Community Foundation/Dave & Mary Wood Fund, for generously supporting our river programs.
