Night Sky Photography Clinic
Colorado Canyons Association is excited to lead our first ever Night Sky Photography Clinic! Are you a photographer looking to expand your skills into the realm of night sky photography? This is your opportunity! Gain expert instruction from accomplished night sky photographer, Christopher Eaton. Learn how to capture the perfect starry shot under the night sky in Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area. You’ll leave this 2-day, 1-night backpacking adventure with lasting memories (and pictures!).

Yoga & Wellness Rafting Retreat
There’s no better place then the Colorado River to find balance, rejuvenation, and peace as the seasons start to change. Join CCA and local yoga instructor, Brooke Kollman, on our 3-day, 2-night Yoga & Wellness Rafting Retreat. Geology & Paleontology of the Colorado River
Raft the river with CCA’s very own paleontologist, Rob Gay, and learn about the billions of years of history written in the rocks. From the earliest dinosaurs to Ice Age mammoths, this scenic area encapsulates a vast timespan of life on the planet. Journey on trails to find evidence of massive geological cataclysms and explore rugged canyons for traces of prehistoric deserts fiercer than the Sahara. McInnis Canyons Paleontology Tour
Colorado Canyons Association is excited to lead our annual McInnis Canyons Paleontology Tour! Spend the day hiking with CCA’s very own expert paleontologist, Rob Gay, as you tour the wild and high deserts of McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area to learn about ancient dinosaurs, forgotten landscapes, and more.

Eagle Rock Shelter Float Trip
Find out what life was like for humans in the region nearly 13,000 years ago by exploring the Eagle Rock Shelter site with Colorado Mesa University Anthropology Professor Dr. John Seebach. Although accessible by land, this site is best visited by river as you can get a sense of the landscape and how it shaped its inhabitants so many years ago. Don’t miss this unique day-long float trip on the Gunnison River through Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area. Some hiking and light paddling involved.
