Skinner Cabin History Hike

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the congressional designation of McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, the BLM and its partners invite you to join on a variety of events to celebrate and learn about the incredible resources in your NCA!

When: Wednesday, October 14th from 4:30 - 6:30 PM

Where: We will meet at the Fruita Paleo Area parking lot and hike the ADA trail to Skinner Cabin.

What: Join BLM archaeologist, Matt Heinritz, to walk through history in McInnis Canyons NCA! Learn about the NCA’s ranching and pioneering past on the area’s new wheelchair accessible trail, ending at the historic Skinner Cabin. Expect to walk about 1.5 miles.


This event is free and open to the public. RSVP required.
